Canary Islands to receive a Pope for the first time in history

The Canarian stage of the visit will be historic: it is the first time a Pope visits the Canary Islands. The thematic focus will be charity and migration. In Gran Canaria the Pope will visit Arguineguín dock, symbol of the migration crisis, and in Tenerife the Las Raíces reception centre.
